Kesha is back in the recording studio amid her legal battle against producer Lukasz “Dr. Luke” Gottwald and Sony Music.

The singer is working with Zedd, who she recently shared the stage with at Coachella, and thanked him on Instagram Tuesday for helping her find her voice again.

“It’s a miracle when someone gives you a chance at finding your voice again with no reason other than that he is a fucking beautiful person with a heart of gold @zedd #truecolors,” she wrote.

Zedd, who has collaborated with Paramore’s Hayley Williams as well as Selena Gomez, also took to Instagram to share a photo, but didn’t tag the 29-year-old singer.

Kesha is suing Gottwald, claiming that he was sexually and emotionally abusive to her. The singer has also been embroiled in a legal battle over her contract with the producer’s Sony Music-based Kemosabe Records, which says the “Tik Tok” singer owes up to six more studio albums to her alleged abuser. The singer — full name Kesha Rose Sebert — contends that she should be allowed to record for another label.

In mid-February, New York Superior Court Justice Shirley Kornreich denied Kesha injunctive relief from her deal, citing a lack of evidence for her allegations of abuse and ruling that she still owes the Sony-based label six full studio albums.

Releasing Kesha from the deal would undermine state contract law, Kornreich decided. Kesha has a standing offer from Sony to record music with zero involvement from Gottwald although he would still profit.
