Lee Stobby has joined Silent R Management as a literary manager, TheWrap has learned.

Stobby, who was previously a manager at Caliber Media, began his career at Industry Entertainment after working at several production companies, including Double Feature Films and Misher Films.

Clients who will be traveling with Stobby to Silent R include filmmaker Rodney Ascher (“Room 237”), director Kaare Andrews (“Cabin Fever: Patient Zero”), writer Emil Stern (“Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole”), writer Lindsay Stidham (“Douchebag”), director Tomasz Thomson (“Snowman’s Land”) and writer Kate Trefry, whose script “Pure O” was voted to the 2013 Black List.

Ascher is currently working on “The Nightmare,” a horror documentary (pictured above) about sleep paralysis that is being financed by Preferred Content, which is also producing with Glen Zipper (“Undefeated”).

Formed by Jewerl Ross in January 2006, Silent R Management represents writers and directors for film and television. The company’s clients include Brad Buecker (“American Horror Story”), Matt Aldrich (Pixar’s “Dia de los Muertos”), David H. Steinberg (“Puss In Boots”), Evan Endicott (Amazon’s “Betas”) and Black List-approved scribe Jack Stanley, among many others.

“This is an exciting step for Silent R to expand our business. When we first decided to grow we knew that this evolution depended on finding managers who shared our core belief: that good taste and creative fulfillment matter more than bottom-line thinking. Lee’s energy, taste and passion will be a great asset, and frankly, we are lucky to have found him,” said Ross.
