“Furious 7” star Jordana Brewster has been cast in Fox’s “Lethal Weapon” pilot, playing Dr. Maureen “Mo” Cahill.
Cahill is a no-nonsense LAPD hostage negotiator and the department’s in-house therapist, per Fox and Warner Bros. TV. She helps cops deal with their trauma and occasionally gets stuck with a real hard case like Riggs.
Brewster joins previously announced cast members Damon Wayans Sr. as Roger Murtaugh and Golden Brooks as Trish Murtaugh.
“Lethal Weapon” is executive produced by Matt Miller, McG, Dan Lin and Jennifer Gwartz. Miller wrote the pilot script, which will be directed by McG.
Brewster is represented by CAA, Principle LA and attorney Michael A. Auerbach at Jackoway Tyerman Wertheimer Austen Mandelbaum Morris and Klein.
“Lethal Weapon” is a small-screen adaptation of the 1987 film, which starred Mel Gibson and Danny Glover.
