Louis CK Threatened to Quit ‘The Dana Carvey Show’ if They Hired Jimmy Fallon (Video)

Short-lived show’s head writer remembers “Tonight Show” host’s “tight, little ass” from auditions

Louis CK admitted to Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday that years ago he “torpedoed” the current “Tonight Show” host’s chances of landing a highly coveted job on the short-lived “Dana Carvey Show,” of which the balding comedian was head writer.

The star of FX’s “Louie” even threatened to quit the show if they hired the young firecracker.

“You were a young, adorable little boy,” CK recalled of his fellow comic’s audition for the writers and producers. CK quickly clarified for the NBC studio audience: “I mean, he was a grown man — I’m not a creep.”

For the tryout, Fallon brought his trusty guitar and sang songs about troll dolls. Then this happened: “Then you’d turn around and kind of wiggle your ass a little bit,” CK recalled. “Because you were young and had a tight, little ass.”

“I’m just making observations, I didn’t have any feelings about it,” CK explained. “I’m just saying what I saw.”

The two then argued over how many times Fallon pulled that move. Naturally, all the women on staff wanted Fallon. CK did not.

“I think I actually said, ‘I will quit the show if you hire that kid,’” CK remembered. “Absolutely not. I was dead against you.”

“You had all your hair, you were in shape, you were a young kid,” he continued. “And I was already kind of sweaty and balding, and I was depressed. It was pure jealousy.”

Apparently, Fallon owes CK a token of gratitude over the past stonewalling.

“By the way, we did get canceled after seven episodes. And then you would have been in some ditch,” CK concluded. “With your troll dolls and your fine ass.”
