Madonna goes post-apocalyptic for her latest music video, and she’s recruited “Empire” star Terrence Howard to help her tell the story of a family coming together in the harshest of conditions.
“Ghosttown” sees the Material Girl waking up alone in a desolate landscape. She walks through her new neighborhood, not realizing that a stranger (Howard) is watching her every move, sometimes through the lends of a sniper rifle.
Instead of killing her though, he confronts her, and the two dance together, eventually walking off hand in hand with a child and dog who wander into frame out of nowhere.
Jonas Åkerlund directed the music video for the second single off Madonna‘s “Rebel Heart” album, which released last month. The singer goes on tour to support the album Aug. 29.
