Arianna Huffington appeared on the Daily Show with Jon Stewart on Tuesday, and announced that she plans to provide free bus transportation to Stewart’s October 30 “Rally to Restore Sanity” in Washington from New York for anyone that wants to go.

Here’s the exchange from the beginning of the interview:

Huffington: We are all ready to march on October 30.

Stewart: Seriously, let me ask you a question. How are you getting there?

Huffington: We are getting a bus, and if there is anybody here that is not sure how to get there […] just come to the Huffington Post -- 560 Broadway in Soho -- the bus will be there, we’ll take you with us.

Stewart: Is that true?

Huffington: Yes, yes. We’ll have as many buses as people to fill them. That’s our promise.

The offer appeared to catch Stewart by surprise -- and the Huffington Post, too.

Here’s the note on their website, posted after the interview:

HuffPost has offered to bus people from New York to the Rally to Restore Sanity in Washington on October 30. We're still working on the details, but fill out this form, and we'll get back to you shortly!
