IMAX and Sony are releasing "The Amazing Spider-Man" in IMAX 3D, the companies announced on Tuesday.
The film's really big screen debut will coincide with the superhero reboot's worldwide release on July 3, 2012.
The last two installments of the franchise were also released in IMAX, but this is the first film in the series to get the 3D treatment.
The IMAX release of "The Amazing Spider-Man" will be digitally re-mastered.
