In his new role, Berg will oversee legal affairs for the company's slate of films
Village Roadshow has promoted Kevin P. Berg to general counsel and executive vice president, business and legal affairs, the production company said Tuesday.
In his new role, Berg will continue to work with the company's studio partner Warner Bros. and manage legal aspects related to the production, distribution and marketing of its films.
He will also oversee the tax and compliance functions of the company.
Berg previously served as senior vice president, legal and financial affairs and associate corporate and legal counsel.
Berg has been with Village Roadshow since the company opened a Los Angeles office in 1998.
Before joining Village Roadshow, Berg served as a legal consultant for the American Film Marketing Association and held the position of law clerk at the firm Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker.
Village Roadshow's slate of films includes “The Lego Movie” and “Mad Max: Fury Road."
