The Oscar-winning actor plays a butler who has served eight U.S. Presidents while working in the White House
Forest Whitaker gets the ultimate White House tour in the first trailer for "Precious" director Lee Daniels' "The Butler."
The Weinstein Co. drama, which is stuffed with huge Hollywood names, follows the life of Eugene Allen (Whitaker), a butler who served eight presidents living at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue between 1952 and 1986.
As anybody who took a single social studies class in high school would know, Allen's tenure gave him front-row tickets to watch political and civil rights history being made.
Oprah Winfrey takes a rare break from being Oprah to star as Whitaker's wife, while Robin Williams, John Cusack, Liev Schreiber, Alan Rickman, Melissa Leo, James Marsden, Cuba Gooding Jr., Jane Fonda and Minka Kelly make appearances, as well.
"The Butler" opens in theaters on Oct. 18. Test your history skills and see if you can identify every president who makes a cameo in the trailer below:
