Will Ferrell, whose cop comedy "The Other Guys" opens on Friday, is attached to star in and produce a Spanish-language comedy titled "Casa de mi padre," or "House of My Father," an individual familiar with the project has told TheWrap.
Yes, Spanish language. The film will be subtitled in English, the individual said.
Ferrell's publicist would neither confirm nor deny his involvement to TheWrap.
Ferrell will produce through his company Gary Sanchez Productions, where the project is in development.
Plot details are being kept under wraps but will inevitably leak soon, as casting is already under way.
One of Ferrell's Funny or Die cohorts will direct, but I'm told it won't be frequent collaborator Adam McKay.
Ferrell is represented by CAA and Mosaic.
