Sean Bean is going from "Game of Thrones" to king.

The British actor, who stars as Eddard Stark in HBO's "Game of Thrones," is in final negotiations to play the king in Relativity Media's "Snow White," TheWrap has confirmed.

He joins Lily Collins, who has the title role, Julia Roberts, who plays the evil queen and Armie Hammer, the charming Prince Andrew Alcott.

Tarsem Singh is directing the movie, which already is shooting in Montreal.

The movie, which still has no title, is about an evil queen who steals control of a kingdom. A princess gets help from seven rebels to help reclaim her birthright.

In addition to his role on "Game of Thrones," Bean is known for playing Boromir in the "Lord of the Rings" movies.

Relativity's is one of two "Snow White" projects now underway. Universal is filming "Snow White and the Huntsman."

The Relativity version is set for a March 16, 2012 release.

Variety first reported the news.
