Lenny Kravitz and Toby Jones, who played Truman Capote in "Infamous," have joined the ever growing cast of "The Hunger Games."
Kravitz (right) will play a fashion stylist and Jones will play the ring announcer in Lionsgate's adaptation of Suzanne Collins's series of novels.
Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth star.
The movie, set for a March 23, 2012 release, already has a strong buzz. Fans of the novels -- and with more than 3 million copies in print, there are lots of them -- are paying close attention.
"The Hunger Games" is set in the dystopian future. The 12 districts of the nation of Panem send a teenage boy and a teenage girl to compete in annual Hunger Games, a nationally televised fight to the death.
The caliber of supporting actors is impressive. Kravitz and Jones join Stanley Tucci, Elizabeth Banks, Wes Bentley and Woody Harrelson.
The 46-year-old Kravitz, though still better known as a musician, is a
talented actor whose portrayal of Nurse John in "Precious" was spot-on.
He also turned strong performances in "The Diving Bell and the Butterfly" and "Zoolander."
Jones (left) is a versatile workhorse who appears in this year's "The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn" and "Captain America: The First Avenger." He played Karl Rove in "W" and, famously, Truman Capote in the 2006 "Infamous."
Gary Ross is directing "The Hunger Games." Nina Jacobson's Color Force is producing along with Jon Kilik.
The novel is the first of a trilogy.
