Project focuses on FBI squad tasked with bringing down a gang of bank robbers who are also illusionists
Louis Leterrier will direct Summit Entertainment’s "Now You See Me," the studio announced on Friday.
The film focuses on an FBI squad tasked with bringing down a gang of illusionists, who pull off bank heists mid-performance. Talk about ripped from the headlines!
Sounds like the audience is the big winners in all of this, because according to a press release, the illusionists then share the profits with show-goers.
Leterrier boasts some impressive action credits, having previously helmed such high-octane films as "The Clash of the Titans" and "The Incredible Hulk."
But it sounds like it's his work on the grittier "Transporter 2" that will come in handy on this assignment.
The film is written by Boaz Yakin and Edward Ricourt and will be produced by Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci through their Kurtzman Orci Paper Products production banner. Yakin will executive produce along with Kurtzman Orci Paper Products' Bobby Cohen.
Leterrier is repped by Guymon Casady at Management 360 and Robert Newman at WME. Yakin, Ricourt, Kurtzman and Orci are represented by CAA. Yakin is managed by Cinetic Media. Ricourt is managed by The Gotham Group.
