Rufus Sewell will play Adam, the leader of the vampires, in Twentieth Century Fox's "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter," TheWrap has confirmed.

Benjamin Walker, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Anthony Mackie and Dominic Cooper also star in Timur Bekmambetov's 3D movie.

Sewell played Crown Prince Leopold in the 2006 "The Illusionist" and the Englishman in 2010's "The Tourist."

In the movie, based on Seth Graham-Smith's bestselling novel, the nation's 16th president spends much of the Civil War battling vampires rather than mortal rebels.

The film is being produced and directed by Bekmambetov. Tim Burton and Jim Lemley also are producing the movie, which is scheduled for a June 22, 2012, release.
