Haley Joel Osment has joined the cast of "Sassy Pants," a coming-of-age comedy starring Ashley Rickards ("Kill Me Now," "Fly Away," "One Tree Hill"), Anna Gunn ("Red State," "Breaking Bad"), Jenny O’Hara ("Mystic River," "Devil") and Diedrich Bader ("Napoleon Dynamite," "The Drew Carey Show," "Outsourced").
The movie is being produced by Adam Wilkins and Pavlina Hatoupis. Eyde Belasco and Paul Korver are Executive Producing.
Coley Sohn wrote and is directing the feature, which is based on her award-winning short film "Boutonniere," which premiered at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival. It is about a home school graduate, played by Richards, who is trying to break free from her overbearing mother.
Osment was nominated for the Academy Award for his 1999 film "The Sixth Sense," for the role of Cole Sear. He was 11 at the time.
