Dailies | Bob Dylan Gets Happy Anniversary Wishes From Pete Seeger (Video)

"If I Had a Hammer" music icon Pete Seeger busts out Bob Dylan's "Forever Young" to help celebrate a milestone

Bob Dylan's self-titled first album turns 50 years old on March 19, and fellow music giant Pete Seeger is helping the singer get an early start on the celebration.

Seeger, 92, recorded a version of the Dylan song "Forever Young" to help mark the occasion — and to benefit Amnesty International, which also turns 50 this year. The "If I Had a Hammer" songwriter is accompanied on the track by the Rivertown Kids, a group of children he has been mentoring since 2007.

The track also has a third purpose: The web site ForeverPete.com is spearheading an effort to make Seeger, who turns 93 on May 3, the oldest musician to reach the music charts. (The current record-holder is Tony Bennett, who charted last year at the age of 85.)

Watch Seeger multi-task for some good causes in the video.
