Hey, everyone’s allowed to be wrong once in a while — our president just happens to be a guy who’s not so good at admitting when he is.
Since the NFL Draft kicks off tonight, Twitter user Freezing Cold Takes thought it might be fun to relive that time Donald Trump predicted big success for Johnny Manziel. We concur.
Here’s his tweet from May 8, 2014:

Things didn’t quite work out so well for the Cleveland Browns first-round draftee.
“Johnny Football” never performed anywhere near his Texas A&M college career and pro hype, and apparent recklessness with drugs and alcohol booted him from the league after just two disappointing seasons. The domestic violence charge probably didn’t help any reinstatement efforts.
In the future, maybe leave the scouting to Mel Kiper, Jr., Mr. President.
