‘Nurse Jackie’ Producers Sign Deal With MGM Television

Caryn Mandabach Productions forges multi-year pact to develop new scripted content

MGM Television has signed a multi-year deal with Caryn Mandabach Productions, the company announced Thursday.

The deal will see Mandabach’s banner develop new hour and half-hour scripted content. Her London based company produces “Peaky Blinders” for BBC Two and Netflix, and will continue its existing first-look arrangement with Content Media Corporation.

Caryn Mandabach was also the originating executive producer behind “Nurse Jackie,” the Emmy Award-winning series which concluded its seven-season run on Showtime earlier this year.

MGM Television developed and brought the Emmy- and Golden Globe- winning series “Fargo” to FX. The second installment of “Fargo,” which premiered Oct. 12, features an all-new cast of characters, a new time period and a new “true crime” story that will unfold over the course of 10 episodes.

Other series from MGM Television include the History series “Vikings,” currently in production on its fourth season, with MGM serving as the worldwide distributor outside of Ireland and Canada. MGM also produces “Teen Wolf” on MTV, recently picked up for a 20-episode sixth season.

MGM Television also has numerous projects in development with a variety of broadcast, cable and digital networks, including EPIX, a joint venture between MGM, Paramount and Lionsgate.
