One Direction member Harry Styles has joined the cast of Christopher Nolan‘s “Dunkirk,” TheWrap has learned.

Newcomer Fionn Whitehead has also joined the WWII action thriller, which TheWrap reported exclusively on Thursday. Tom Hardy, Mark Rylance and Kenneth Branagh are already starring.

Nolan wrote the script and he’ll also produce the film with his longtime producing partner Emma Thomas. He has already visited Dunkirk to scout locations for the re-creation of Operation Dynamo, the British military operation that saved the lives of 330,000 Allied soldiers who were surrounded by German forces.

Warner Bros. will release “Dunkirk” worldwide on July 21, 2017. The film will be released theatrically on IMAX, 70mm, 35mm and all other screens.

“Dunkirk” will be Styles’ feature film debut. He has been a member of the British band “One Direction” since 2010, and the band is currently on hiatus with no plans to tour for their fifth studio album.

Styles is repped by CAA and Modest.

Warner Bros. and Styles’ reps have not yet responded to TheWrap’s request for comment.
