Anthony Michael Hall Charged With Felony Battery

“Breakfast Club” alum is accused of inflicting “great bodily injury” on another man during a September incident

If Anthony Michael Hall thought his stint in detention was a drag in “The Breakfast Club,” he could be facing a much bigger hassle.

Hall has been charged with felony battery with serious bodily injury, a spokesman for the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office told TheWrap on Monday.

According to a complaint filed against the actor, the charge stems from an alleged September 13 incident during which Hall is accused of using force and violence against another man, “resulting in the infliction of serious bodily injury.”

According to TMZ, Hall is accused of breaking his neighbor’s wrist and hurting his back during an altercation outside of their condominium on Playa del Rey, Calif.

The site says that Hall could face up to seven years in prison if convicted, though the district attorney’s spokesman was not able to confirm the potential sentence to TheWrap.

This wouldn’t be the first time that Hall has been accused of being a bad neighbor. Back in 2011, Hall was arrested on suspicion of disturbing the peace, after allegedly tearing up the plants in the common area of the condominium, then threatening to beat a neighbor “to a pulp” after being confronted by the neighbor.

A representative for Hall has not yet responded to TheWrap’s request for comment on the most recent charges.
