Starz released the first teaser trailer for the new Patrick Stewart half-hour comedy series “Blunt Talk” on Friday.

Stewart, Charles Xavier/Professor X in the “X-Men” film franchise, stars as hard-partying British journalist Walter Blunt, who is intent on conquering the world of American cable news and is on a mission to guide Americans on how to live, think and behave.

The series premieres on STARZ in summer 2015 and is greenlit for a two-season, 20-episode commitment.

In the trailer, doing coke and fighting off the police seems to be all in a day’s work for Blunt, as he works to establish himself as a serious journalist in the eyes of his new audience. His companion through it all is his alcoholic manservant, Harry (Adrian Scarborough).

Jacki Weaver (“Silver Linings Playbook”) appears as Rosalie, Blunt’s tough and motherly producer-manager. Dolly Wells (“Doll & Em”) is Celia, Blunt’s senior producer and head writer, and Timm Sharp (“Enlightened”) is Jim, Blunt’s head writer.

The series was created by Jonathan Ames and executive produced by Seth MacFarlane. MacFarlane and Stewart are frequent collaborators, with Stewart lending his voice to numerous MacFarlane projects, including animated series “American Dad” and the 2012 box office smash “Ted.”

The teaser will premiere on-air during the “Black Sails” finale on Saturday, March 28 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
