Paul McCartney got a big assist from Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl Saturday night in London, as the two put their stamp on the Beatles classic “I Saw Her Standing There.”
The former Beatle was on stage at the O2 Arena when Grohl joined him to provide one of the show’s highlights, a collaboration of the tune written by McCartney and John Lennon and released in the U.K. in 1963.
Several excited fans shared pictures and video clips on social media of the two musicians rocking out.

McCartney and Grohl are regular, if not frequent collaborators. They previously performed “I Saw Her Standing There” at the 2009 Grammy Awards. And they paired to record the single “Cut Me Some Slack” for the ex-Nirvana drummer’s 2013 “Sound City” documentary.
McCartney is performing again Sunday night at the O2.
