‘Peter Pan Live’s’ Allison Williams Can Fly, Sing, Speak in British Accent But Might Cry by Showtime (Video)

“I’m just so moved by the music and the story,” the “Girls” star says about the upcoming NBC musical event

With only a week left before the curtains come up on “Peter Pan Live!,” NBC is releasing another behind-the-scenes look at the upcoming musical event.

In the video trailer released Wednesday, Allison Williams dons the quintessential cropped haircut of Peter Pan and does her best at pulling off a faint British accent.

“Peter Pan has been important to me throughout my whole life,” Williams says. “I’m just so moved by the music and the story. I mean, this is big. The music is big, big, big. If I hear any piece of it at any moment of my life, I will start crying.”

Hopefully Williams will keep it together during the live television performance. Her co-star, Christopher Walken, admits that playing Captain Hook is a challenge — one he’s willing and excited to take.

“It’s an event and frankly, it’s intimidating,” Walken says. “I think that’s exciting to watch.”

“I’m not going to lie, the bigness of it felt scary for like a hot second,” Williams says. “This, it’s the absolute dream job.”

“Peter Pan Live!” also stars Christian Borle, Minnie Driver and Kelli O’Hara.

“Peter Pan Live!” airs Thursday, Dec. 4 at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.
