Prince’s Death: 5 Intriguing Internet Conspiracy Theories (Video)

With questions still surrounding the “Purple Rain” singer’s passing on April 21, the web has rushed forward to fill the void of information

In the wake of Prince’s death on April 21 at age 57, the Internet has rushed forward to fill the void of information with a flood of conspiracy theories.

Some are out there — such as believing “The Simpsons” may have predicted or been implicit in the singer’s death, because an episode parodying such an event aired years ago. Others have taken this as evidence that the beloved animated comedy had foreknowledge of the singer’s demise, eight years before it actually occurred, apparently at the hands of the Illuminati.

Speaking of predicting his death, Prince may have done that himself — twice. Both his final Instagram post (which had the captions: “”JUST WHEN YOU THOUGHT YOU WERE SAFE…”) and some of his last words at a party have been interpreted by conspiracy theorists to be foreboding and ominous.

Or was it something more pedestrian, like his belief that all elevators are evil, that did him in?

Watch the video (above) for a rundown of the Top 5 conspiracy theories about Prince’s death floating out on the Internet right now.
