On Tuesday night, Part 1 of the “Limitless” season finale on CBS failed to generate any lift, perhaps partially because the show’s last new episode aired on April 5. Or maybe it’s just the better weather keeping some fans away from their TV sets.

“Limitless” drew 5.8 million viewers and a 1.1 rating in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic in its 10 p.m. ET time slot. On April 5, the show managed 6.1 million viewers and a 1.1 rating. Hopefully, Part 2 next week will pull in bigger numbers.

Nevertheless, CBS won the night in total viewers thanks to “NCIS” and “NCIS: New Orleans,” which pulled in 14.6 million viewers and 12 million viewers, respectively.

CBS was first in total viewers with an average of 10.8 million and second in the demo with a 1.5 rating. “NCIS” got 14.6 million viewers and a 1.8 rating at 8 p.m. ET. “NCIS: New Orleans” got 12 million viewers and a 1.6 rating at 9. “Limitless” followed at 10.

NBC finished second in total viewers with 8.7 million but first in the demo with a 1.7 rating in the key demo. “The Voice” scored 9.7 million viewers and a 1.8 rating at 8 p.m. ET. “Chicago Med” followed at 9 with 8.1 million viewers and a 1.6 rating. “Chicago Fire” got 8.2 million viewers and a 1.7 rating at 10.

The CW finished fourth in total viewers with 2.4 million but third in the demo with a 0.9 rating. “The Flash” managed 3 million viewers and a 1.1 rating at 8 p.m. ET. The series premiere of “Containment” followed at 9 with 1.7 million viewers and a 0.6 rating.

ABC finished third in total viewers with 2.7 million but tied for fifth in the key demo with a 0.7 rating. A repeat of “Fresh Off the Boat” aired at 8 p.m. ET, followed by “The Real O’Neals” at 8:30, which got just 2.9 million viewers and a 0.8 rating. “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D” followed at 9 with 2.9 million viewers and a 0.9 rating. “Beyond the Tank” aired at 10, netting 2.1 million viewers and a 0.6 rating.
