Read Kanye West’s Humble, Contrite Twitter Rant

“My number one enemy has been my ego,” the rapper says, in a series of online ruminations that amount to the closest to an apology we may ever get from him

Kanye West took a lighter approach than usual in his latest Twitter musings.

“A dream of mine would be to do a project where I work side by side with Raf Simmons, Helmut Lang, Vanessa Beecroft and Martin Margiela,” West tweeted Wednesday, naming several top fashion designers.

“Imagine if the people I named went to high school 2gthr and had a project to do for school,” he continued. “Just creating in a fun simple way with no politics…”

West went on to say that he has been rethinking his past comments in which he said he was “taking the rap throne,” calling that statement “dated.”

“[Every] rapper is somebody’s favorite…,” he said. “Some rappers got the club … Some got the radio… some got the conscience…some got the streets… Everybody has something they do the best…A wise man should be humble enough to admit when he’s wrong and change his mind based on new information…”

West concluded with perhaps the closest thing to an apology we have seen from him to date, writing, “My number one enemy has been my ego… there is only one throne and that’s God’s …”

This week has been a rough one for West. The rapper and aspiring fashion mogul recently admitted that he has spent $53 million of his own money on launching his fashion line. He also got called out by Taylor Swift on Monday, when she accepted the Grammy Award for Album of the Year.

However, he did finally release his long-awaited “The Life of Pablo” album in time for Valentine’s Day.
