Open Road Films has acquired the North American rights to the romantic comedy “Home Again,” which will star Reese Witherspoon.

Michael Sheen, Lake Bell and Nat Wolff will also star in the film, which will be written and directed by Hallie Meyers-Shyer. Nancy Meyers will produce alongside Black Bicycle Entertainment’s Erika Olde, who also financed the film.

“Home Again” is the story of a recently separated mother of two (Witherspoon) who starts a new life in Los Angeles. But that life is quickly overturned when she decides to take in three young guys.

The film is set to begin production this fall with an anticipated release date in the fourth quarter of 2017.

“‘Home Again’ is a funny and sparkling script that will be brought to life by the incomparable Reese Witherspoon,” stated Tom Ortenberg, CEO of Open Road Films, in a statement. “Nancy Meyers has brought audiences some of their all-time favorites and has a proven track record at the box office. We are proud to be in business with this family and the entire team.”

MadRiver is selling the international rights to the film. The deal was negotiated on behalf of Open Road Films by Ortenberg and Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel, Elliott Kleinberg. Creative Artists Agency negotiated on behalf of the filmmakers.

Meyers-Shyer is represented by WME, while Witherspoon, Meyers and Wolff are represented by CAA. Sheen is represented by ICM and Bell by UTA.
