Rob Lowe Gets Choked Up in ‘The Grinder’ Cold Open (Exclusive Video)

Double entendres are taken to a whole new level in courtroom scene from show-within-show

Rob Lowe delivers one euphemism after another in the latest cold open from Fox’s sitcom “The Grinder.”

In the latest scene from the comedy’s show-within-a-show, Lowe’s Mitch Grinder is seen delivering a closing statement in defense of his client, getting emotional when discussing “getting this man off.”

Offscreen, Lowe as Mitch Grinder actor Dean Sanderson watches his own show, enraptured, along with his family, with only Fred Savage‘s character Stewart appearing to take notice of the double entendre.

The scene doesn’t end, with Grinder’s monologue continuing on to include a blind and deaf paralegal who grinds “even harder behind me.”

The latest episode of “The Grinder” features guest appearances from Michael Showalter and Jerry Minor.

“The Grinder” airs Tuesdays at 8:30 p.m. ET on Fox.
