Ronda Rousey Considered Suicide After Losing Holly Holms Fight (Video)

“No one gives a shit about me anymore without this,” Ronda Rousey tells Ellen DeGeneres

UFC fighter Ronda Rousey was so distraught after losing last year’s bantamweight championship fight to Holly Holms that she thought about taking her own life.

“I was literally sitting there and thinking about killing myself,” Rousey told Ellen DeGeneres on a show airing Tuesday. “I haven’t told anybody that.”

Rousey stopped by “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” for her first sit-down interview since losing to Holms. Rousey admited to feeling suicidal immediately after the fight, saying she felt that “no one gives a shit about me anymore without this.”

Luckily, the suicidal thoughts didn’t last, thanks to support from boyfriend Travis Browne.

“I looked up and I saw my man Travis was standing up there and I looked up at him and I was like, I need to have his babies I need to stay alive,” Rousey said.

Roused also discussed the “lady party” that went down during her revealing photo shoot for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, in which she appears wearing only body paint.
