Ryan Gosling Drinks and Drives in ‘Cool’ SNL Sketch That Was Cut for Time (Video)

Resident jokers Beck Bennett and Kyle Mooney get weird in this sitcom spoof with an important message

NBC has released a “Saturday Night Live” sketch starring Ryan Gosling that was cut for time last weekend, thereby denying viewers four more minutes of Gosling-y goodness.

The host and star of “The Big Short” joined SNL’s resident jokers Beck Bennett and Kyle Mooney for a sketch titled “Cool,” which played like a sitcom spoof, including its anti-drinking and driving message.

Mooney stars as Dougie, who in an effort to be better liked by his neighbors (Gosling, Bennett), goes from nerdy to cool with the help of a special machine.

Watch the video above to explore Bennett and Mooney’s special brand of comedic weirdness and how Gosling fits into the puzzle. Should this have been included in last weekend’s broadcast or is its online debut a better fit? Let us know in the comments section below.
