See David Lee Roth’s Nose Injury in Slow Motion Compliments of Jimmy Kimmel (Video)

The ABC late-night host also released more video of the band performing hits like “Hot for Teacher” and “You Really Got Me”

Jimmy Kimmel took time Tuesday night to reveal to fans how exactly Van Halen frontman David Lee Roth injured his nose during a recent live performance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live.”

During the opening seconds of the show, Roth was twirling a microphone stand around his head like a baton. Kimmel slows the video down so you can see the exact moment when the stand clipped Roth’s nose.

Roth went off-stage for approximately two minutes to be bandaged by an on-site paramedic. According to Kimmel, Roth went to the hospital immediately after the show and received fourteen stitches.

The injury clearly did not slow Roth down, though, as he finished the set with gusto. Kimmel released two new videos of the band’s performance Tuesday, including their hits “Hot for Teacher” and “You Really Got Me.”
