Jimmy Kimmel recut a new “Star Wars” trailer on Monday night, turning the sci-fi epic into a romantic comedy.
In the recut trailer, Rey (Daisy Ridley) is “looking for love in all the wrong places,” namely in the hollowed out remains of a Star Destroyer.
But when she meets a handsome young Stormtrooper named Finn (John Boyega), their lives take an unexpected turn. Not even a “handsome older gentleman” like Han Solo could keep the duo apart.
“Sometimes, the greatest Force of all is love,” the narrator says before we get a look at the film’s new title, “The Fault in Our Star Wars.”
Kimmel hosted a “Star Wars” themed episode on Monday, featuring Ridley, Boyega, Adam Driver, and writer/director J.J. Abrams.
