The CW released a new extended trailer for its forthcoming Kevin Smith-directed episode of “Supergirl,” which features the return of Livewire and Dominators.
Brit Morgan returns as Livewire, her first appearance on the series since the “Supergirl”-“The Flash” crossover.
The mid-season premiere episode titled “Supergirl Lives” has the heroine dealing with the fallout from the defeat of the anti-alien organization CADMUS and the emergence of a new interstellar threat. Supergirl will also be facing off against Veronica Sinclair aka Roulette (Dichen Lachman), who is involved in the alien trafficking ring.

The evil Dominators also make their first appearance on “Supergirl,” but DC TV viewers may remember them as the heavys in the four-show crossover last year.
Between the first and second seasons of “Supergirl,” the show went through a soft reboot as it changed networks from CBS to The CW for the series’ sophomore outing.
New episodes of “Supergirl” begin airing Monday, Jan. 23 on The CW.
