Ted Cruz’s Alleged Sex Scandal: The Twitterverse Explodes

According to a National Enquirer story, Cruz has had five different mistresses

The National Enquirer dropped a huge bombshell on Wednesday claiming that Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz was cheating on his wife with five women, and the Twitterverse has gone crazy about the alleged sex scandal.

The hashtag #CruzSexScandal had people buzzing Friday, poking fun at the candidate and comparing him to Bill Clinton.

“It was only a matter of time, scandal season has arrived,” one user tweeted.

“I did not have sexual relations with that woman, that woman, that woman, and … that woman. ,” wrote another.

On Wednesday, The National Enquirer published a story accusing Cruz of having affairs with multiple mistresses.

“Private detectives are digging into at least five affairs Ted Cruz supposedly had,” a source told the National Enquirer. “The leaked details are an attempt to destroy what’s left of his White House campaign!”

According to the Enquirer, two of Cruz’s alleged lovers include a “foxy political consultant and a high-placed D.C. attorney.”

Although the story has not been confirmed, Washington Times reporter, Drew Johnson, wrote, “COMING CLEAN: From what I know, at least 2 of the women names as Cruz mistresses by the National Enquirer are accurate.”

Breitbart writer Allum Bokhari tweeted Thursday, “I hate getting scooped.”

On Feb. 2, he had tweeted, “Some people think #MicrosoftRubioFraud is the big scandal from last night. Wait until they hear the bombshell about Ted Cruz.”

Representatives from Cruz’s campaign have not yet responded to TheWrap’s request for comment.
