TheWrap Launches BE Conference for Millennial Women in Media, Entertainment, Technology

First event will take place on March 12-13, 2017 in Austin, Texas, during the SXSW Film Festival

TheWrap is pleased to announce the launch of a new conference aimed at growing the careers of millennial women in media, entertainment, entrepreneurship and technology.

The BE Conference (beconferences.com) will take place March 12-13, 2017, in Austin, Texas, during the SXSW Film Festival.

BE seeks to bring together women at the top of their fields in media, entertainment, entrepreneurship and technology with young female influencers, along with corporate leaders who want to connect with them. The conference will include several structured mentorship sessions, media opportunities and networking breaks.

The conference will allow influencers to network, to mentor, to learn new skills, to launch new projects or products. And to BE with like minds.

BE is about helping all these women become the best possible version of themselves.

The BE Conference is organized by a team known for impactful, first-class events with key niche groups: TheWrap and Mom 2.0.

The conference is an extension of TheWrap’s Power Women Breakfast series, which in 2016 expanded to four U.S. cities: Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York and Washington, D.C.

“I am excited to partner with some of the most respected event producers in the niche space to launch BE,” said Sharon Waxman, founder and CEO of TheWrap.

TheWrap is a media and entertainment force in both digital and print, and also presents a series of women-focused events such as the Women’s Breakfast Series and The Grill.

Mom 2.0, founded by Laura Mayes and Carrie Pacini, is a multifaceted media and conference company known for bringing today’s leading parenting influencers together with top brands both online and in person at events like the Mom 2.0 Summit.
