Trevor Noah chimed in on Republican response to the San Bernardino massacre on Thursday, ripping Texas Sen. Ted Cruz in particular.
The “Daily Show” host responded to Cruz’s planned “2nd Amendment event” in the wake of the shootings.
“Yea, 14 people just lost their lives in a shooting, and Ted Cruz’s first thought is, ‘Oh, that reminds me, I have to send out my invites to my gun party!”
Noah concluded, “That seems like something you’d only do if you were an asshole.”
He then played a series of best of Cruz moments, including him shooting at the gun rage while he eats “machine gun bacon.”
Noah concluded Cruz has the ability to heal the divide between Democrats and Republicans, by uniting the two sides “in their hatred of him.”
