Trevor Noah isn’t impressed with Republican candidates railing against CNBC’s debate moderators and making demands for future events, calling out their “ridiculous” requests on Tuesday.
“What happened at that CNBC debate that transformed this crew from ‘The Expendables’ to the cast of ‘Scooby Doo?’” the “Daily Show” host asked before running clips of detailed, fair debate questions.
Noah then took on the claim that Democratic candidates fielded softball questions, running a series of challenging questions from CNN’s Anderson Cooper during the Democratic debate.
“To be fair, when someone as handsome as Anderson Cooper is being mean to you, it still sort of feels like a compliment,” Noah joked.
“The Republicans are now trying to baby-proof the whole election from top to bottom,” he said.
Noah concluded the segment by losing it over the candidates’ demands that cameras not show their empty podiums while they go to the bathroom. “Are you shitting me?” he said.
