President Donald Trump took to Twitter on Wednesday to blast the “fake news” media, and took a swipe at NBC News which he called “more dishonest than even CNN.”

Trump’s annoyance at NBC is likely the result of a scoop from the network, which reported exclusively on Wednesday morning that Secretary of State Rex Tillerson was so frustrated with Trump that he was close to resigning and that he called the president a “moron” during a recent meeting at the Pentagon.

Per NBC:

Tillerson had openly disparaged the president, referring to him as a “moron,” after a July 20 meeting at the Pentagon with members of Trump’s national security team and Cabinet officials, according to three officials familiar with the incident.

During a press conference Wednesday morning, Secretary Tillerson forcefully hit back against the charge.

“To address a few specifics that have been erroneously reported this morning, the vice president has never had to persuade me to remain as Secretary of State, because I have never considered leaving this post,” said Tillerson.

Tillerson declined to specifically deny calling the president a “moron,” and rather chastised the media for focusing on “petty stuff.”

“I’m not going to deal with petty stuff like that,” he told reporters. “This is what I don’t understand about Washington.”

Trump, a voracious and thin-skinned consumer of print and television media, often tweets out his thoughts on stories about him or his staff and has been known to flood his feed with retweets of his favorite morning show, “Fox & Friends.”

Only moments after Tillerson’s presser, he tweeted out his opinion:
