"The Big Bang Theory" got a big guest star Thursday night, in the form of renowned theoretical physicist Stephen Hawking.
In the episode -- dubbed "The Hawking Excitation" -- uber-nerd Sheldon Cooper (Jim Parsons) gets to meet his hero Hawking and attempts to dazzle Hawking with his scientific brilliance. Unfortunately, the theory he presents Hawking with doesn't exactly create a big bang -- in fact, it falls rather flat.
