So far, 2011 has been a résumé-expanding year for Jennifer Lopez. In addition to joining the judges' panel of the revamped "American Idol," the "Jenny From the Block" singer added another feather to her cap on Wednesday, when People magazine announced that Lopez tops its annual "Most Beautiful" list.
The 41-year-old singer/actress bested such show-biz beauties as Reese Witherspoon, Katie Holmes and Sandra Bullock to earn the honor.
In her accompanying interview, Lopez admits that it's no easy task achieving and maintaining the pinnacle of beauty -- and it hasn't gotten any less arduous now that she's exposed on national television twice a week in her "Idol" duties.
"The thing is, it's part of my job," Lopez tells the magazine. "I don't want anybody thinking it's easy. It does take time and it's hard work. HDTV wide-screen is nobody's friend!"
Lopez inherits the mantle of People's Most Beautiful from "Pretty Woman" actress Julia Roberts, who snagged the honor in 2010.
