‘Vanderpump Rules’ Star Stassi Schroeder on New Season: ‘It’s the Same Psycho Crap’ (Video)

The Bravolebrity also talks her mystery boyfriend and whether she’ll ever return to work at SUR on TheWrap’s “Drinking With the Stars”

Stassi Schroeder, the resident Queen Bee of Bravo’s “Vanderpump Rules,” has taken somewhat of a backseat in the reality show’s third season, and to hear her tell it, that’s totally fine with her.

“I prefer it. I don’t want to be working at SUR the rest of my life. I don’t want to be slinging chicken enchiladas every night,” Schroeder told TheWrap’s executive editor Joseph Kapsch during a new episode of  “Drinking With the Stars.”

“Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Lisa Vanderpump’s SUR restaurant is the setting of the “Rules” spinoff series, and the cast of characters are all bartenders and servers who work there — with the exception of Schroeder, who quit her job and moved to New York after the conclusion of Season 2.

But she’s back for Season 3, thanks to a new LA-based job for mystery boyfriend Patrick, and she finds her old friends all exactly where she left them.

“I kind of expected everyone to maybe grow up a little, but everything is exactly the same,” she said. “And it’s weird.”

Schroeder herself has moved on, but she’s being picky about what she shares on camera this time around.

“I don’t think you’ll even see a picture of him,” she said of her new boyfriend. “People think I made him up, which is fine. He’s my George Glass of a boyfriend from ‘The Brady Brunch.’”

But her castmates, including returnees Tom Sandoval, Kristen Doute, Katie Maloney and Jax Taylor, along with new series regulars Ariana Madix and Tom Schwartz, will be up to the same old outlandish drama.

“It’s the same psycho crap that always goes down,” Schroeder previewed the rest of the season. “It’s like history repeats itself every year, just with different people.”

Schroeder also played a game of Word Association with the names of her former co-workers. The words “Beamer Selfie” will never get old.

“Vanderpump Rules” airs Monday nights at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
