Vin Diesel, International Hero, Says ‘I Am Groot’ in Different Languages (Video)

He definitely earned his paycheck in “Guardians of the Galaxy”

No matter where you are in the world, Vin Diesel is Groot.

While the big-name voice actors that help bring buzz to animated films are generally dubbed over for international releases, the sentient tree in “Guardians of the Galaxy” will be voiced by Mr. Diesel in many of the overseas cuts.

After all, he only has to say three words, so it’s not a whole lot of dialogue to re-record.

To be fair, though, Diesel worked for days in the studio to record the line “I am Groot” thousands of times, “Guardians” director James Gunn told TheWrap last week.

“Vin is somebody who would go in there and he would keep going and going and going, and it would take me a long time, but I would eventually be like, ‘I’m happy with that Vin, OK, we can go to the next,’” Gunn recalled, laughing, “and Vin would be going, ‘One more, one more, one more, one more.’”
