‘Hunger Games’ Star Woody Harrelson Gets Shot Up, Felt Up and Fed Up in ‘SNL’ Promos (Video)

Harrelson initiates a “Hunger Games” among the show’s cast, which doesn’t bode well for Taran Killam

For Woody Harrelson‘s promos for his upcoming hosting stint on NBC’s venerable late-night institution, “Saturday Night Live,” he came up with a way to spice things up. Inspired by his huge film franchise, Harrelson told Taran Killam, “Spoke to Lorne [Michaels] about doing an ‘SNL’ ‘Hunger Games.’”

“Where someone actually dies?” Killam marveled, before we quickly found out who would be the first to go.

Other bits had the two in a wild west shootout and Killam struggling to figure out which Woody he was standing next to, going through Woody Allen and Woody Guthrie … and even a much more intimate variation after a very close hug that he instantly regretted pointing out and labeling.

“I shouldn’t have said that,” Killam said as Harrelson walked off camera. “That’s his name. That’s not cool. That’s his name.”

Woody Harrelson hosts “Saturday Night Live” with musical guest Kendrick Lamar this Saturday at 10:30 p.m. ET on NBC.
