Six-episode event will debut Jan. 24 on Fox
In a new behind-the-scenes look at the upcoming “X-Files” reboot, the series’ stars and creators assure fans that they will not be disappointed with the direction the show is taking.
“We want to satisfy the mythology of it,” David Duchovny says in the video. “There’s going to be standalones, but our show can go a lot of different ways, and our fans I think like all of those ways that it goes.”
During its initial nine-season run, “The X-Files” became one of the most successful television dramas of all time, hitting a peak ratings high in 1997 when more than 27 million people tuned in to the Season 5 premiere.
The six-episode “X-Files” event series will debut Jan. 24 at 8 p.m./7c on Fox.
