Zach Galifianakis, Jimmy Fallon Have a Million Excuses Why They’re Too Busy to Hang Out (Video)

They pencil something in for Jan. 1, 2030 after realizing they’re booked solid with things like staring at a wall and being Santa Claus

Zach Galifianakis hung out for a little while with Jimmy Fallon on “The Tonight Show” Monday. But the comedians wanted to really hang out, without any movie promotions or a talk show schedule getting in the way. In a backstage video, they discovered just how difficult it can be to coordinate schedules.

Like most Americans, Galifianakis and Fallon are incredibly busy people, with their careers and families. But they also have things on their schedules that most of us never have to worry about.

Galifianakis has to take his fish to a shrink, and on another day he’s going to be busy alphabetizing his testicles. Fallon has to cut his hair and then let it grow back out, and later he has to ride an elephant. He has to, but don’t ask.

Eventually, they stopped going day by day, leading to the revelation that Galifianakis plans to create Jurassic Park in November while Fallon is “literally Santa Claus,” booking his December solid.

Ultimately, they penciled their hang-out day for January 1, 2030, allowing time for Galifianakis’ expedition to Mars and Fallon’s disastrous 2020s.

Zach Galifianakis can next be seen in Alejandro González Iñárritu’s “Birdman.” “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. ET on NBC.
