Welcome to your tape.
Well... not quite. But welcome to your first look at "13 Reasons Why" Season 2. Netflix released five photos of the new season on Thursday, and it looks like we'll hit the ground running with an emotional roller coaster as the students and Hannah's family head to trial in the wake of her death at the end of Season 1. Here, we see cool guy Tony crying on the shoulder of Caleb with the rear window of his classic car smashed in.
In Season 1, Jessica realized that she had been raped by school jock Bryce. As we know all too well, women are often blamed for their own assault, and it looks like that's exactly what's happening here.
It looks like Hannah's mom is being vocal about her daughter's suicide and the subsequent battle against the high school. Here, she's pictured speaking with reporters outside of the courthouse.
If the Season 2 teaser trailer was any indication, Bryce is still up to his evil antics. Mr. Porter listened to Hannah's tapes, so he knows about the jock's bad behavior. This isn't how you'd normally see a principle talk to a student -- it looks like high drama is in store.
And here's our first look at Clay in Season 2. Who is he talking to? We know he'll be at the center of all of this drama somehow.
"13 Reasons Why" returns to Netflix on May 18.
