Matt Damon's favorite holiday has arrived: World Water Day.
In celebration of the day dedicated to raising awareness for the clean-water crisis affecting a billion people around the world, the actor narrated an animated video that takes full advantage of potty humor to explain the importance water — and toilets — in our lives.

"The toilet not only provides a tranquil escape from nagging bosses, spouses and children, it's also a fast and sanitary way to dispose of waste — separate from the water we drink and bathe in," Damon informs, before asking for a courtesy flush.
"But in most of the world, toilets are still a luxury," he continues. "In fact, more people have cellphones than toilets. One billion people, about 20 percent of the world's population, defecate in the open. In rural areas, the number jumps to one in three."
So why is the "Bourne Identity" star so worried about where people poop? He's one of the founders of Water.org, an organization dedicated to solving a global issue that — according to the organization's statistics — kills a child every 20 seconds, while forcing women to collectively spend 200 million hours a day gathering water.
"Take a moment to consider that the water six inches beneath your butt is cleaner than the drinking water of one billion of your neighbors," Damon concludes. "So celebrate your can, because you can. And would it kill you donate a few bucks — and light a match?"
