Jennifer Love Hewitt is here to save the day, “9-1-1” fans!

Well, she’s here to keep you calm and safe on the phone while Angela Bassett, Peter Krause and Oliver Stark figure out how to save Los Angeles from the catastrophic effects of a giant earthquake.

In a trailer for the upcoming second season of Ryan Murphy’s first responder drama on Fox, Maddie is taking over as the new emergency operator after Abby’s (Connie Britton) exit in the Season 1 finale.

And it looks like her very first day on the job is going to be a crazy one for the whole crew, as Los Angeles is cracking up — literally.

People are crying, roads and buildings are splitting down the middle, and now we know why Season 2 debuts with a two-night premiere, as this mess is going to take a while to clean up.

Co-created by Murphy, Tim Minear and Brad Falchuk, “9-1-1” explores the high-pressure experiences of police officers, firefighters and emergency operators who are thrust into the most frightening, shocking and heart-stopping situations. In addition to Hewitt, Bassett, Krause, and Stark, the cast includes Aisha Hinds, Kenneth Choi and Rockmond Dunbar also star. Ryan Guzman has also joined the cast for Season 2.

“9-1-1” will return with a two-night Season 2 premiere Sunday, Sept. 23 at 8/7 c and Monday, Sept. 24 at 9/8c (its regular time slot) on Fox.
