Riley Smith is joining the seventh and final season of HBO’s “True Blood.”

The actor has been cast in a major recurring role, a network representative told TheWrap.

He’ll play Keith, a rock ‘n’ roll-loving vampire who’s soft for romance. He’s a drummer in James’s (Nathan Parson) band and develops an instant attraction to Arlene (Carrie Preston).

Smith played a recurring role on The CW’s “90210” and has appeared on the network’s drama, “Beauty and the Beast.” He stars in Lifetime’s Civil War-era backdoor pilot/TV movie, “Deliverance Creek,” from author Nicholas Sparks‘s production company.

HBO announced last September that “True Blood” would end after the upcoming season, which premieres this summer.

Gersh, Sanders Armstrong Caserta Management and law firm Jackoway Tyerman Wertheimer Austen Mandelbaum Morris & Klein represent Smith.
