‘9-1-1: Lone Star’ – Watch This Guy Pull a Sword on Michelle Because He Refuses to Accept His Dead Mother Is Dead (Exclusive Video)

And *clearly* has been dead for days

As a first-responder, the first thing you learn is you can’t save everyone from death — especially if they’re already dead when you arrive to try and help them. That’s the situation Michelle (Liv Tyler) and her team find themselves in TheWrap’s exclusive clip from tonight’s “9-1-1: Lone Star.”

In the video, which you can view above, the Austin paramedics respond to a call from a man who is concerned about his mother’s health. Welp, turns out his mom is definitely already deceased and from the looks of her rotting corpse, she has been for a few days.

The problem here is, when Michelle tries — very gently, might we add — to tell this man that his dearly departed mom has dearly departed, he refuses to accept this reality. And then he pulls a sword on her and the rest of the team to get them to try and treat his mom. OK, looks like Michelle is gonna go along with it — for now.

Here’s the official description for tonight’s episode, titled “Monster Inside”:

Owen, Michelle and the 126 crew race to a rattlesnake infestation at a young family’s home, and attempt to rescue a man with dementia from a dangerous scene that he created. Meanwhile, Owen adopts a firehouse dog with cancer and Michelle finally learns the truth behind her sister’s disappearance. Also, a tragic accident shakes the team to its core.
